the level of experience and professionalism was evident from the start of the project. Safety precautions were addressed immediately and safeguards were installed to protect the site as well as my property. The staffing was well thought out and planned to allow actual work at a good production rate. There were no shortcuts regarding installation techniques and or materials used. Upgrades to the prior failed minimal installations, put in by other contractors were removed and replaced with current standards. Trenches, previously too shallow were then installed at proper depths to safeguard against freezing. Other piping was replaced within the home to complete the installation with reconfigured feeds providing a great professional looking installation. The pricing was in keeping with the estimate. I am very pleased with the work done, the professionalism with which it was installed and the methodology used to manage the progress and get me back in service.

Excellent service that was completed quickly! (Hot water heater pilot would not stay lit.) Downing contacted me within 2-3 minutes of posting the job on the internet -- and they were the only company to do so within a day! The work was a bit more expensive than I had planned but the complete burner unit and valve body had to be replaced. I would call Downing first the next time I have an issue like this.

Needed a repair to remove an old saddle valve. Technician came out and quickly made the repair and was done within an hour. scheduling the appointment was quick and easy, and got feedback and notice when the technician was en route. Dan my service technician was excellent. He was able to quickly resolve my plumbing issues. I purchased a new home in Michigan City, IN. The day I moved in the sewer backed up in the basement and the toilets overflowed. GROSS!! Dan responded first thing in the morning and found I had 2 bad toilets and my lines needed cleared. He also found a leak in my kitchen plumbing. He was able to repair everything on the spot and I am grateful. Dan was also kind enough to respond to my home warranty company so we could work on the claim! Great JOB!!

The technicians were very thorough getting the slow-draining kitchen sink fixed. They made sure the pipe was unclogged all the way to the basement. They didn't leave a mess.

This was the second time in two weeks we needed your services. On the first visit, our interior pipes were water jetted to clear them. Two weeks later our outside pipes backed up and we could not run any water in the house. Fortunately, we are Duck Club members. We called at 8:00 a.m. and at 3:00 p.m. the tech was on site. Within 2 hours he had our entire outdoor system cabled and running free. So pleased with our same day service and that we could once again use water in our home!

New fellow. Did seem to be in a hurry. It WAS after 4PM. Replaced shut off valves. Went to replace stems , but HE said the stems were missing Or they (Sterliing) sent the wrong replacement. Reordered same exact items. Went to Lowes & luckily someone knew about the particular way to change out the stem. Top of stem has a screw, plus, that you loosen to take off the stem from cartridge. Wala. Don't even have to remove carterpin.. I finished replacing cartridges & all worked well. Even told AL, about it, as he did the YRLY inspection. I'm happy. MY wife is VERY happy. She now has cold water to brush her teeth. Happy Holidays Bob Jones

The source of our plumbing problem wasn't easy to identify, and your plumber stuck it out with us until he had figured out where the problem was. Although the long-term solution will involve a major, expensive project (which we can't plan on doing right now), he did the rodding which will hopefully keep us out of trouble for some time. Communication was a bit of a problem at first--I don't think he was always listening to what I was saying--but again, I give him credit for persisting until he got our need taken care of.

I called on a Friday morning for service THAT Day. I was pleased that Downing plumbing responded immediately and took care of three different problems. One was to install new shutoff valves for our kitchen sink BEFORE delivery of a new counter top. This was done in time for the counter top to be installed; The counter top installation crew arrived earlier that the scheduled time for it's installation. Another problem was that the main shutoff valve for the house had bound up and needed to be replaced. Because the street side shutoff valve was damaged Downing's Technicians Kieth and Cory had to install a new shutoff valve with the water turned on. Thanks to their efforts our long day went much smoother that anticipated. Their phone number is now in my cell phone contacts for future work. We also signed up for their annual inspection and repair service.
